Leisure Ministries Program Explained

Leisure Ministries is a totally different, dynamic, refreshing, transforming encounter with God that may change you forever.  Take a stab at activities like rock climbing, caving, video production, local missions, line dancing, drama, special effects, moving worship, high ropes, low ropes, rappelling, or canoeing and find out how you can use all of these to bring the Gospel into your daily life. We have a two-fold focus:

1. The first is to equip God’s people for ministry. The idea behind the name is to offer ways you can minister to others through “Leisure” experiences. Part of your day will be spent in “majors” and “minors,” where you will do anything from creating visual or performing arts to tackling ropes initiatives. “Majors” are activities you spend time in each day while “Minors” are activities you sign up for on a daily basis.

2. The second, and primary, focus is meeting God through vital worship. Every night is a new experience as we encounter Jesus in surprising ways. LM moves through a 4-year cycle of Biblical themes, focusing in order on the first-half of the Old Testament, the second-half of the Old Testament, the Gospels, and the latter part of the New Testament. The Bible comes to life before your eyes as you learn how to make Scripture real in your daily life. Leave filled with the joy of Christ and ready to serve Him back back home.
